Middle QA Engineer

The QA Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Plan, design, and execute manual tests across all stages of the development lifecycle (regression, system, exploratory).
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and documentation.
• Identify, log, and verify bugs to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and distributed team members to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards.
• Access and interpret application logs to identify issues based on information, error, and warning levels.
• Contribute ideas and suggest process improvements to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
• Participate in regular QA reviews and work proactively to meet release deadlines.
• Support development teams in diagnosing, reproducing, and verifying bug fixes.

The QA Engineer will report directly to the Line Manager and will possess the following attributes:
Essential:

• Proven experience in manual software testing, including regression, system, and exploratory testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing stages: planning, test case design, execution, bug tracking, and verification.
• Experience using SQL for validating and querying data.
• Ability to access and analyse application logs to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and within a distributed, remote team.
• Flexible, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow.
  

Desirable (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Selenium or other automated testing tools.
• Familiarity with C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting.
• Previous experience in start-ups or fast-paced agile environments.
