QA Engineer (Upper Intermediate)

The QA Engineer will be responsible for one of the following tasks:

• Define, write, and maintain Pass Criteria and Acceptance Criteria to ensure features are testable and meet business expectations before development begins.
• Create, execute, and manage test scripts for various testing types including regression, user acceptance, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Maintain comprehensive testing documentation such as test plans and test scripts to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
• Conduct manual cross-platform testing to verify consistent feature functionality and user experience across different devices and browsers.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure a clear and non-subjective Definition of Done (DoD) throughout the development lifecycle. 
• Identify, document, and track bugs, errors, defects, and usability issues using appropriate tools and communicate effectively with developers and designers.
• Participate in project and sprint reviews to help optimize QA practices and workflows.
• Communicate test results, findings, and release readiness status clearly to all stakeholders.
• Investigate and reproduce bugs reported from live environments and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify their validity.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with developers and project managers to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.
• Verify that all deliverables meet agreed scope, pass/fail criteria, and ensure all critical issues are resolved before release.

The QA Engineer is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:.

• Proven experience as a QA Tester, QA Engineer, or in a similar QA role.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and exposure to automation frameworks.
• Experience with various testing types, including integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of cross-device and cross-platform testing techniques.
• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to clearly report bugs, test results, and release readiness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify root causes and provide practical solutions.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal – essential for reporting bugs, writing documentation, and cross-team collaboration.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Experience using tools like JIRA, GitHub, or similar project management platforms.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Testim.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as the ISTQB Foundation Certificate are a plus.
