Senior AI Engineer / Researcher

We are building domain-specialized AI agents on top of our Go-first data fabric. This role focuses on advancing our use cases by training, fine-tuning, and optimizing open-source LLMs and multimodal models for retrieval, reasoning, and workflow automation in compliance-heavy supply chain environments.

Responsibilities

The Senior AI Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Research, train, and fine-tune open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, Gemma, etc.) for domain-specific tasks.
  • Implement supervised fine-tuning (SFT), instruction tuning, and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF).
  • Develop efficient data pipelines for model training (cleaning, tokenization, chunking, labeling).
  • Optimize models for RAG pipelines: grounding responses in canonical data and metadata.
  • Evaluate models with LangSmith, custom benchmarks, and human-in-the-loop feedback.
  • Deploy optimized models to production (on-prem, air-gapped, or cloud environments).
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on serving and inference integration (Go, Python APIs).

Optional experience

  • Parameter-efficient fine-tuning: LoRA, QLoRA, adapters.
  • Quantization techniques: 4-bit/8-bit inference, GGUF/GGML optimizations.
  • Vectorization & embeddings: training or distilling domain-specific embedding models.
  • Multimodal training (vision + text for document understanding).
  • Distributed training frameworks: PyTorch DDP, DeepSpeed, Hugging Face Accelerate.
  • Experiment tracking with Weights & Biases, MLflow, or custom dashboards.
  • Serving stacks: vLLM, TGI, TensorRT-LLM, Ray Serve.
  • Security & compliance in model training (data privacy, PII redaction, reproducibility).

Requirements

The Senior AI Engineer will report directly to the Line Manager and will possess the following attributes:

  • 5+ years in applied ML/AI research or engineering, with at least 2 years in LLM fine-tuning.
  • Strong background in PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, tokenizers.
  • Proven ability to adapt open-source models to real-world, production-grade tasks.
  • Deep understanding of training efficiency tradeoffs (memory, throughput, cost).
  • Ability to balance rapid prototyping with rigorous benchmarking and reproducibility.

Benefits & Perks

  • An open mind and flat structure where every voice is welcome.
  • A work environment built on transparency, seamless communication, trust, and a sensible approach ,combined with mixed cultures and a speaking environment
  • Individual assessments every 6 weeks with your line manager
  • Performance review every  6 months
  • 15 days of annual leave and + 6 days of fully paid sick leave per year – can be used for the care of sick child
  • Christmas Holiday
  • Competitive salary
  • Bonus: 13th-month Salary
  • Social insurance for employees who pass their probation
