We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer with strong hands-on experience in WordPress development, especially Headless WordPress integration with Next.js.
This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance, and SEO-friendly web applications by combining WordPress as a CMS with modern frontend technologies such as Next.js, ReactJS, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate should have solid experience customizing WordPress, working with REST API/GraphQL, and collaborating with frontend/backend teams to deliver production-ready web platforms.
Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and CMS solutions.
Build and integrate Headless WordPress with Next.js using REST API and/or GraphQL.
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using Next.js, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
Customize WordPress themes, plugins, custom post types, taxonomies, and Advanced Custom Fields.
Work with WordPress APIs, hooks, filters, and backend customization to support frontend requirements.
Implement SEO-friendly, responsive, and pixel-perfect UI based on design requirements.
Optimize WordPress and Next.js applications for performance, SEO, accessibility, scalability, and security.
Handle data fetching and rendering strategies in Next.js, including SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams.
Conduct code reviews, enforce frontend/WordPress best practices, and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to WordPress, frontend integration, APIs, performance, and deployment.
Deploy and maintain applications on cloud infrastructure such as AWS or similar platforms.
Requirements
Vietnamese with excellent English Communication
5+ years of experience in WordPress development.
Strong experience with custom WordPress development, including themes, plugins, custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, filters, and ACF.
Hands-on experience integrating WordPress with Next.js in a Headless CMS architecture.
Solid experience working with WordPress REST API and/or GraphQL.
Strong frontend development experience with Next.js, ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Good understanding of Next.js rendering patterns include: SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.
Experience optimizing websites for SEO, Core Web Vitals, performance, accessibility, and security.
Familiarity with modern frontend styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS, SCSS, CSS Modules, or similar.
Experience with version control using Git and working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Experience deploying applications to AWS, Vercel, or similar cloud platforms.
Good problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Experience with WooCommerce or large-scale WordPress platforms.
Experience with WPGraphQL.
Experience working with multilingual websites.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience leading frontend/WordPress architecture decisions.
